Weiyu Hung – Goddess

We here at Millionair pride ourselves on bringing you not only the best luxury fashion & lifestyle labels available, but also finding the next stars as early as possible. Regular readers may recall that last year we covered the Fu Jen University graduate show during London Fashion Week including Weiyu Hung the Holland based Taiwanese designer.

What a year its been for Hung and his elegent collections, culminating in his show this month broadcast globally as part of the London and Taipei fashion weeks, his pared back monochrome looks have also seen him garner the attention of some of the most well known titles our industry has.

The collection isn’t just a set of beautiful looks, it also holds a powerful statement of how fashion can change lives, the materials made from recycled and remainder stock were worked on in conjunction with social projects in Nijmegen that teach new skills to the elderly, people with disabilities and those currently dealing with unemployment.

But as I often say the looks must live up to the ethics they were created alongside, people still need a product they can invest in and Weiyu Hung delivers. The collection has the softness, sense of intimacy and gentleness that the designer is already making a hallmark of his work. Simply put, in 12 months this is a creative that has moved from one to watch to one to buy.
